2026 Winter Volleyball - Fresno - Fresno State

Join us for our 1st season of Next Level Volleyball in Fresno! We are excited to partner with Fresno State to bring Next Level Volleyball to the home of the Bulldogs.

General Registration is now open for all participants!

The Next Level Girls Volleyball program is designed to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of competitive volleyball in an engaging and developmentally appropriate environment. Our program is aimed at the youth athlete who has 'some-to-none' exposure/experience, offering them the opportunity to build essential skills and gain confidence as they prepare for future participation at the club, middle school, or high school level.

Our coaching staff features dedicated Fresno State student-athletes and experienced coaches who bring a wealth of knowledge from teaching the game at all levels—from beginner to elite club and high school play. Consistent with Next Level’s tradition, every team benefits from the guidance of a student-athlete mentor, ensuring personalized instruction and a strong sense of connection and inspiration for participants.

League Operations

  1. Season Operations: The Next Level Girls Volleyball program in Fresno will run with 8 program dates over the program schedule.
  2. Program Dates: The Next Level Girls Volleyball program takes place on Sundays (with the exception of Week 4) at Fresno State. Parents only need to set aside up to 1.5 hours for their child’s participation.
  3. Program Details: This program is focused primarily on instructional skill development, providing athletes with targeted training and structured drills to build a strong foundation in volleyball fundamentals. Players will have ample opportunities to enhance their skills through structured drills, with modified gameplay scenarios introduced gradually as fundamental techniques are established. Unlike other Next Level programs that follow a distinct practice-to-game format, the volleyball program integrates instruction and team play throughout the program. There are no fixed transitions from practice to match play. Instead, players will be guided through various skill-building exercises led by Next Level Volleyball coaches, gradually progressing toward more team-oriented scrimmages in the latter portion of the program.
  4. Team Roster Size: Teams are 10 players maximum, limited exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
  5. Season Fees: $305.00 - Fees are inclusive of a participant's custom volleyball uniform and other equipment/offerings.
  6. Optional Player Packs: During the registration process, participants have the option to purchase additional Player Packs upon check out. For the 2026 Next Level Girls Volleyball season, 3 options are available for purchase (see below). Player Pack costs will be added to the base league registration fees at check out. All Player Pack merchandise will be shipped with your participant's Next Level Volleyball uniform - unless otherwise communicated from our team. Sizing verification will be sent via email as your season uniform heads into production!

    • Volleyball Shirt Pack - $40.00: Nike Long Sleeve Dri Fit (Black) featuring the Next Level Volleyball Logo (Gold) on the front, participant's last name on the back.
    • Volleyball Hoodie Pack - $60.00: Nike Fleece Hoodie (Black) featuring the Next Level Volleyball Logo (Gold) on the front, participant's last name on the back.

Site Director: Kelsey Lahey

Kelsey Lahey was named as an assistant coach at Fresno State in March 2025. Prior to Fresno State, Lahey spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Akron where she coached the liberos and pin attackers. While on staff with the Zips, she also directed all volleyball operations. In 2022, Lahey was an assistant coach at Georgia State University, heading up operations for the program as well as training passing and overseeing defensive systems.

Additionally, Lahey spent one season as Marquette's Director of Volleyball Operations in 2021 where she directed all team travel, daily operations, and handled all technical duties of the program. She helped Marquette to an impressive 26-6 mark, including a 16-2 record in the Big East Conference before advancing to the NCAA Championship.

In 2019 and 2020, Lahey served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at her alma mater, Marist College. Following the 2019 season, her first year as an assistant, Lahey was recognized by VolleyballMag.com as one of the top up-and-coming coaches in the country, spanning NCAA Division I women's volleyball, as well as beach volleyball and Division I and II men's volleyball.

Lahey graduated from Marist College in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in political science. She ended her career at Marist sixth on the program's all-time kills list with 1,014 kills. She eclipsed the 1,000 career kills mark by accumulating 16 of the teams 24 kills against Fairfield in the MAAC Championship match in 2015. She is also currently sixth all-time in career attacks (3,253).

Her career accolades include being a two-time MAAC All-Championship Team selection, a three-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection, and a one-time All-MAAC First Team and All-ECAC Second Team selection. She was also named to the Crosstown Tournament All-Tournament Team in 2015, as well as the Volley in the Valley tournament MVP in the same year.

Lahey, a native of Bowling Green, Ohio, earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture at Boston University in 2018. Following her MFA, she spent one year as a volleyball coach in Maumee, Ohio, for Premier Volleyball Academy.
